Chicken wings mega. Spare ribs great. Salad bowl with salmon meeeeegggggaaaaaa. Super nice service (owner = waitress = canoeist = sweet German = speak English again) Whoever visits Wasserkuppe should avoid tourist traps upstairs and drive here!

We went to eat with 7 men! Everything was delicious. The steaks were right on point 👍 Everyone was 100% satisfied. In a word, everything was done right. Thank you for the friendly service and enjoyable food. 👍👍👍

The food is a disaster! There were four of us and none of them could be recommended. Not only reasonable in terms of taste, the food also smelled very bad. For almost 90 euros. Furthermore, the restaurant is not clean, it is on the window sills, etc. A lot of dust, toilets etc. The only positive point: the staff is extremely nice and hard-working!

We went here a few days ago as it was a recommendation. The owners were very friendly and I had the impression that they care very much about the well-being of their guests. The dog also enjoyed service here and was treated very well The food is prepared the Canadian way and was therefore a bit unusual. But it was tasty and the dishes were large. So you get full! The food was also not as heavy in the stomach as you sometimes have in other kitchens when you eat a lot. I can definitely recommend it! Thanks to the owners! 😀

The owners are very friendly and the dog was treated and entertained great. The food came quickly and in large quantities. So you get full! Since the food is prepared the Canadian way, it tastes a little different from what you are used to as a German. It was tasty and definitely very interesting. We were the first time in the restaurant Hessisch Canada and were very pleasantly surprised by the very tasty food from the individual, very friendly owner. Of course the restaurant is still like it used to be, simply rustic and cozy, but the food and the service were just great. Very recommendable. The chef is also open to individual requirements or wishes.

It's even better than my favorite BBQ in Dallas Texas! And on top of that, they have Hochstift Pils vom Fass! Delicious, awesome, 6 stars! Don't forget to make a reservation!

There were four of us with two dogs. Our dogs were wonderfully taken care of. Staff is very courteous and friendly. The food was delicious. Above all, the price-performance ratio is right. The ambience is still under renovation, but that doesn't bother you at all when you visit. We will come back in any case.

We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews and were looking forward to a good meal. Unfortunately we were badly disappointed with that. But let's start with the fact that there were of course positive points. This definitely included the very friendly staff and that we didn't have to wait long for the food or drinks. In addition, the house cocktail is definitely recommended. The arrangement of the food was also very attractive and well done. Unfortunately, as soon as I entered the location, I could see that the furnishings are definitely no longer the newest and, for my taste, do not match the concept. The taste of the food was unfortunately not as expected. The starter was chicken wings. These were acceptable but could have used a little more seasoning and it might have been nice to serve a dip, as some wings were a bit dry. Then it went on with the spare ribs. These were very funny in taste and definitely not as I imagine sparibs. They were also irregular, while in some places the bones fell off by themselves, which is quite good, in other places you had to struggle to get them from the meat. The other problem was that unfortunately they didn't bother to remove the silver skin, which I should normally be able to expect as a guest at Spareribs for a price of almost 17 euros. As a response, I can only make the decision that it was unfortunately a culinary failure, but that I can only rate what I have eaten and cannot say how it is with the other dishes.

Extremely delicious food! We were there with the family and everyone was enthusiastic. The service was very nice. But a star deduction, as the ambience looks very old. If that were to be modernized a bit, everything would be perfect.

Another new culinary highlight in the Rhön. The four of us had dinner there and were / are thrilled. The food was excellent - both for 'omnivores' and vegetarians. The beer garden, including the outdoor terrace, is wonderfully situated and offers a view of the Ebersburg. The hosts are extremely personable and do their best to look after their guests. Highly recommended! We will come back.

Very nice staff, goes well with requests. Food is freshly prepared and is absolutely delicious and highly recommended (see pictures). We had the ribeye steak and the flambé salmon with a side salad and house lemonade. We'll definitely be back.

We chose this restaurant because of the very good reviews. And we have not been disappointed! The waitress received us very friendly and immediately took drinks. Our dog was also immediately given a bowl of water. The order was quickly prepared and served. The highlight was the look and taste! The steak was ideal, almost English. The portion was reasonably large. The prices are also okay and absolutely reasonable for the quality. If you wanted to name a criticism, that would be the chairs in the beer garden. They are common beer garden chairs, but somewhat uncomfortable when sitting for a long time. But that's the only thing we could find criticism here. We would be happy to come back at any time and would be happy to recommend Hessisch Canada!

Because of the other extremely positive reviews, we also wanted to try the restaurant. The staff is very friendly. But it all takes a little longer. At another table, a young couple got up and left after nobody had looked after them for 20 minutes. The concept for the food and the quality are actually great, only the implementation is not so great. 5 raw cloves of garlic with steak - why completely raw? The cooking point of the rump steak was unfortunately through and not as usual medium, especially since no one asked about it. The special request with a couple of baked potatoes is immediately reflected in the invoice at € 2.50, even though the usual side dish (chips) was omitted. The salad was unfortunately still very sandy and crunched when eating.

We had a really good time and diner. The sunny terrace and garden are also really nice. Even if the menu was not the same as usual, our meal were very good, and there was enough on the plate! We loved the mix between kanadian and German food ❤️🍲

A visit if you are nearby is highly recommended. We had a mixed grill plate and ribey steak with french fries and pepper sauces .... the meat was world class! A must for meat lovers. Brisk and friendly service who is happy to be there. Great terrace with a view of the countryside. Prices absolutely justified. Thanks that you exist.
